Abstarct: Indentifying fauna and flora the regions is fundamental knowledge to understand the ecology and Limits of the relationships of animal species in a region. Planning issues such as the optimal use poisons in the form of sustainable agriculture the use of poisons with a limited and less dangerous scope, and the application of correct methods of mass pest management have made the faunistics and ecological studies take their place in the sciences related to agriculture, especially entomology recognizing. In order to investigate the fauna of short horned grasshoppers in Marave tappeh region, during the three seasons of spring, summer and early autumn(early October) of 2021 and 2022, inscts were collected with a net and hand samples were taken. A total of 16 species lucusts belonging to 14 genera, 7 subfamilies, 2 families, 2 superfamilies were indentified. Also, in order to stimate the biodiversity of lucusts from two regions, pashaliq area(manipulated) and balliqayeh(unmanipulated) were regularly sampled on a weekly bassis in an area of one hectare.using biodiversity indicators in two sampling regions, in pashaliq(manipulated) species, Calliptamus barbarous,Oedipoda miniata species were the most abundant, and Oedaleus decorus and Mioscirtus wagneri species were the least abundant. Calliptamus barbarous, Oedipoda miniata, Truxalis nasuta, Aiolopus thalassinus species were the most abundant and Mioscirtus wagneri, Sphingonotus rubescens species were the least abundant in the balliqayeh region(unmanipulated). This study is the first report on the fauna of short horned grasshoppers in marave tappeh region, Golestan province. All the species for marave tappeh region and the species with asterisks are new reports for the fauna of province, the names of the species are as follows: Caelifera: Acridoidea. Acrididae [Acridinae] Truxalis nasuta* (Linnaeus,1758) [Calliptaminae] Calliptamus barbarous* (Costa,1836) [Cyrtacanthacridinae] Anacridium aegyptium (Linnaeus,1769) [Oedipodinae] Aiolopus thalassinus (Fabricius,1781) Acrotylus insubricus (Scopoli,1786) oedipoda miniata* (Pallas,1771) Mioscirtus wagneri (Eversmann,1859) Locusta migratoria* (Linnaeus,1758) Oedaleus decorus (Germar,1825) Oedaleus senegalensis* (Krauss,1877) Sphingonotus(sphingonotus)rubescens (Walker,1820) Sphingonotus(Sphingonotus)octofasciatus* (Serville,1838) Sphingoderus carinatus (Sausure,1888) [Eyprepocnemidinae] Heteracris littoralis* (Rambur,1838) [Gomphocerinae] Dociostaurus maroccanus (Thunberg,1815) Pyrgomorphoidea. Pyrgomorphidae [Pyrgomorphinae] Pyrgomorpha conica* (Olivier,1791).
